Soon Kaleshwaram water will gush into Chennur
As promised during the Assembly elections that the TRS government would irrigate the fields of the Chennur constituency in Mancherial district with the water drawn from Kaleshwaram project, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has set the ball rolling for this purpose.
Hyderabad: As promised during the Assembly elections that the TRS government would irrigate the fields of the Chennur constituency in Mancherial district with the water drawn from Kaleshwaram project, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has set the ball rolling for this purpose.
The State government on Monday issued a GO to initiate a survey in order to provide KaleshwaramLift Irrigation project water to the Chennur constituency inMancherial district.
With this, the government's ambition to provide water to the agricultural lands of the neighboring areas of Kaleshwaram will become a reality. The water would irrigate an ayacut of about 1.35 lakh acres under Kaleshwaramproject in Chennur constituency of Mancherial district.
During the 2018 Assembly elections, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had promised the people of Chennur to provide Godavari water to their region and as promised, the work towards the same has begun.
Chennur MLA Balka Suman thanked CM KCR and TRS working president and MAUD Minister KT Rama Rao for keeping up their poll promise. He also said that the people of Chennur would be grateful to the TRS leaders and the Telangana government.
