Suicide of minor boy creates tension in Aswaraopet town

Aswaraopet (Kothagudem): The suicide of a minor boy created tension in the Aswaraopet town with parents and relatives of the deceased boy staging a protest at the local police station. According to sources, a minor boy committed suicide on Wednesday after he was picked by the police in a case pertaining to damaging of an ATM machine a few days earlier.
The boy, aged 17, hanged himself at his residence in Aswaraopet town. The boy was called to the police station a few times for questioning him along with others in connection with the ATM damaging case in the town 10 days back.
Fearing punishment, the boy reportedly ended his life. The family members of the deceased took his body to the local police station and staged a protest accusing the police of harassing the boy.
