Health Minister Eatala Rajender on Monday stated that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had told him to take special fund if required to tackle coronavirus in wake of first positive case reported in the State on Monday.

Hyderabad: Health Minister Eatala Rajender on Monday stated that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had told him to take special fund if required to tackle coronavirus in wake of first positive case reported in the State on Monday. Eatala stated that KCR enquired about health condition of the first positive case and advised the department to be on alert.

The minister appealed to the public to be careful and take precautions in case of sneezing or coughing in public spaces.

He also appealed to the public to immediately consult doctor in case they experience any related symptoms. The minister said that they have made arrangements in Fever, Gandhi and Chest hospitals for admitting coronavirus cases and kept enough stocks of masks, safety gear and medicines.

The minister stated that a decision had been taken to sensitize and create awareness in people of the State on what steps to be taken to ward off Covid-19 threat.
