Telangana recorded 205 fresh coronavirus positive cases in a single day including 54 cases from GHMC taking the overall tally to 2,85,068.
Telangana recorded 205 fresh coronavirus positive cases in a single day including 54 cases from GHMC taking the overall tally to 2,85,068. With two deaths due to the virus, the death toll went up to 1,533 and the recoveries jumped to 2,77,304 with 551 fresh recoveries in a single day. At present, there are 6,231 active cases out of which 4,136 are in home or institutional isolation.
Between Saturday and Sunday, 27,244 tests were conducted including 11,987 on primary contacts and 3,269 on secondary contacts. However, the results of 205 samples turned positive and the reports of 369 are pending.
The positive cases reported across the state include 54 from GHMC, 15 from Rangareddy, 13 from Karimnagar, 10 from Warangal Urban, 9 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 8 from Sangareddy, 7 from Warangal Urban, 6 each from Nizamabad and Mancherial, 5 each from Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nagarkurnool, Nalgonda, Yadadri Bhongir and Siddipet, 4 each from Jagtial, Jangaon, Peddapalli, Suryapet, 3 each from Komarambheem Asifabad, Mahabubabad, Mulugu, Nirmal and Vikarabad, 2 each from Adilabad, Medak and Rajanna Sircilla, one each from Mahabubnagar, Wanaparthy, zero cases from Kamareddy and Narayanpet.
