TS riddled with corruption, inefficiency: BJP president

Hyderabad: Mounting scathing attack, BJP president JP Nadda on Saturday accused the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's government of being riddled with corruption, inefficiency and arrogance and asked the party cadre to work hard to oust TRS government making the party an alternative political force in the Telangana.

Addressing the Telangana Jana Samvad, virtual rally on Saturday, he said that the projects in Telangana are constructed not based on the welfare of the people, but, "level of corruption that serves the interests of those in power." Citing how the project estimates of the Kaleswaram Lift Irrigation Project on River Godavari (KLIP) has been doubled, he charged the irrigation projects are riddled with corruption. On the other, the Southern Telangana has been neglected by the State government by not taking up the irrigation projects on River Krishna, he said.

"What you give (to us) while coming and what you give (to us) while going," seems to be the order of the day in Telangana. Adding to this, the TRS chief's statements like "Hindugallu-Bondugallu", reflects his arrogance and how he perceives people of the country and Telangana. This is not acceptable in a democratic country, in which, all people elected him." he said. The BJP president also accused the State government of inefficiency in fighting Covid-19.This reflects well with a scribe undergoing treatment had lost his life due to lack of oxygen, he said.

The former Union Health Minister said that the Telangana's Covid testing is less than the small States like Himachal Pradesh."The average COVID mortality rate of Telangana is 3.8, as against 1.8 of the national average," and it shows a complete failure of the State government in fighting against the deadly virus, he said.

State BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar said that the TRS chief is replicating the West Bengal style of rule in the State, "foisting false cases against the BJP leaders and cadre in the name of violating lockdown norms." He asked the party cadre to prepare for fight to finish to free the State from KCR's clutches and end the TRS misgovernance in Telangana.

Secundrabad MP and Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, G Kishan Reddy, said that the Telangana is a worse-hit State among South India due to not conducting enough tests. He also found fault with the State government for not giving approvals for treating Central government employees to freely treat at the ESI and railway hospitals for Covid-19.
