TRS leader brutally killed in Suryapet
As the Cooperative Societies elections are nearing, clashes broke out between the political rivals in the Suryapet district.
Hyderabad: As the Cooperative Societies elections are nearing, clashes broke out between the political rivals in the Suryapet district. In the attack, TRS leader and former sarpanch O Venkanna were brutally killed at Yerkaram village in Suryapet mandal on Friday night.
While speaking with the party activists over the arrangements of the polling, Venkanna was attacked by the opponent with sharp-edged weapons. In order to save his life, Venkanna escaped into a house but they chased and brutally murdered him. On the incident, tension situation prevails in Yerkaram village.
Recently, over the Cooperative Societies elections, a clash broke between Congress and TRS activists in Yerkaram. In this context, the allegation is raised that the Congress leaders are behind the murder of Venkanna.
Upon receiving the information about the murder, DSP Nageswar Rao reached the spot and examined the body. On the incident, the police have registered a case, shifted Venkanna's body to hospital for post-mortem, and investigating further.
