Hyderabad: Congress Legislative Party leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Sunday alleged that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government was making State debt-ridden Telangana not Bangaru Telangana by taking loans continuously.

Taking part in the discussion on Appropriation Bill, the CLP leader lashed out against the policies of the TRS government in taking loans and burdening people of the State.

The Congress leader said the loans have reached Rs 3.3 lakh crore and government was adding Rs 6,000 crore loans every year to the existing loans.

"By 2019-20 the total loans are Rs 23,840 crore and by the year 2022 the loans would cross Rs 37,000 crore as the government was adding Rs 6,000 crore loans every year. These are dangerous signals and the government should maintain financial discipline," said Bhatti Vikramarka.

The CLP leader said the power situation in the State improved because of the steps taken by earlier Congress government. He also alleged that the SC, ST Sub-Plan funds were getting diverted.

"We have brought the Act why the funds should get diverted? The TRS leaders are talking as if they were giving favours. This is the right of SCs not their mercy. I was part of the Assembly as deputy speaker when the SC, ST Sub Plan Act was passed," said Vikramarka urging the government to convene a meeting.

Regarding the loan waiver scheme, Vikramarka said that one farmer who brought gold loans was not getting the loan waiver facility even after producing documents.
