TRS, YSRCP stoke regional sentiments for political gains: BJP MLC N Ramachender Rao
BJP MLC demands Gutta to take back his comments against BJP leaders
Hyderabad: BJP MLC N Ramachender Rao said that the Pothireddypadu Head Regulator Project (PHRP) has been brought to the fore to safeguard the political interests of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
The senior BJP leader said that the TRS and YSRCP chiefs are trying to stoke regional sentiments among people of the two Telugu states as there has been an increase in the anti-establishment feelings against both the TRS and YSRCP in TS and AP.
He said that the increased political rhetoric by the leaders of both parties against each another reflect their intentions to score political mileage creating differences among people of both the States.
The BJP MLC took objection to the statements reportedly made by Chairman of the Telangana Legislative Council, Gutta Sukhender Reddy.
"It is acceptable if the chairman, hailing from Telangana can condemn and fight for the interests of the State and her people. But, it does not go well with the people holding constitutional positions, to resort to political statements," he added. The BJP leader demanded Sukhender Reddy to take back his statements made against the BJP leaders.
