The web option process for the seat allotment into engineering courses began today. The government on Friday issued a GO confirming the fees for 191 colleges.
Of the total, the government has fixed the fee structure for 103 colleges including 80 which had gone to the court over fee hike. And the remaining 88 colleges announced temporary fee hike.
The fees have been hiked by 15-43 per cent when compared to last year. The overall fee hike has been increased by 20 per cent.
For the academic year 2019-20, around 20 colleges have crossed the fees to Rs 1 lakh per year. CBIT topped the list with Rs 1.34 lakh per year.
The web option process will end on July 8, 2019.
