Hyderabad: The North Zone Task Force officials on Sunday nabbed two cricket betting bookies identified as Sunny Kumar Jaiswal (33) and S Sai Krishna (32) and seized Rs 40,300 net cash, three cell phones and other material from their possession.
According to Task Force officials, on credible information they conducted simultaneous raids at Vittalwadi and Narayanaguda and arrested two accused while they were accepting cricket betting amount from punters directly and indirectly over cell phones for the IPL T20 final match in between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings.
The apprehended accused along with seized property were handed over to SHO Narayanaguda Police Station for further action.
