Hyderabad: All India Congress Committee secretary V Hanumantha Rao has an objection to the US president Donald Trump calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi Father of India.
Reacting to the praise of the PM on Thursday, Hanumantha Rao said that it would have been better had Modi reacted on the statement of Trump for his comparison with Mahatma Gandhi.
He said Gandhi had fought with weapons like non-violence and Satyagraha for wresting freedom from the British.
He alleged that Trump had praised Modi by keeping in view the upcoming elections. He also claimed that there was nobody in the contemporary world to be compared with Mahatma Gandhi.
