Walk to Save Water rally held in Khammam
The Khammam district administration took out a rally-Walk to Save Water- at Lakkaram tank bund on Friday.
Khammam: The Khammam district administration took out a rally-Walk to Save Water- at Lakkaram tank bund on Friday. A number of students from various schools in the district took part in the rally that was flagged off by District Collector RV Karnan. Speaking on the occasion, Jal Shakti Abhiyan Nodal Officer Rajiv Ranjan Mishra said everyone should know the value of water and should try to conserve and reuse.
District Collector Karnan said everyone build rainwater pits to harvest rainwater and improve the groundwater levels.
Central team members of the committee Kulvanth Rana, Vijay Prakash and Ravninadh Singh, Khammam Municipal Corporation Commissioner J Srinivas Rao, Assistant Commissioner Sadhaniranjan, District Rural Development Project Director B Indumathi, Additional Project Officer Vidhyachandana and school students took part in the rally.
