Warangal: Minister Errabelli appeals to RTC staff to call off strike
It’s not fair to trouble the people on the eve of Bathukamma and Dasara festivals, Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao said on Saturday in an appeal to RTC employees who resorted to indefinite strike from Friday midnight.
Warangal: It's not fair to trouble the people on the eve of Bathukamma and Dasara festivals, Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao said on Saturday in an appeal to RTC employees who resorted to indefinite strike from Friday midnight.
"The State government is in favour of fulfilling the demands of the RTC employees based on merit, hence the staff should rethink about their strike," he said. Stating that Bathukamma and Dasara festivals are two iconic festivals of Telangana, he urged the employees to call off their strike to prevent any discomfort to people especially women, children and old age people. All those travelling in RTC buses are predominantly middleclass, he added.
The Minister held a meeting with the Chief Whip D Vinay Bhaskar, MLAs Nannapuneni Narender, Thatikonda Rajaiah, Aroori Ramesh, Challa Dharma Reddy to discuss the RTC strike and measures to be taken for the convenience of people.
