Woman attempts suicide after live-in partner refuses marriage in Miryalguda
A woman allegedly attempted suicide by setting herself ablaze as her live-in partner refused to marry her on Thursday.
Miryalguda (Nalgonda): A woman allegedly attempted suicide by setting herself ablaze as her live-in partner refused to marry her on Thursday. The woman has been identified as Swathi. According to sources, the family members of Swathi alleged that one Gade Ravi of Takkellapadu village of Miryalguda mandal in the district was in a live-in relationship with the woman for the past few months.
Gade Ravi was already married and has two children with his first wife. Ravi and Swathi met during farming works and developed a relationship over time. Disappointed over Ravi's changed attitude, Swathi set herself ablaze when she was alone in her residence.
Hearing the screams of Swathi, locals shifted her to area hospital in Miryalguda for treatment. Swathi's condition is said to be critical.Miryalguda Rural SI Saida Babu filed a case and took up investigation.
