A middle-aged woman jumped off the building and died on the spot here at Chilakalguda on Thursday after her daughter died of Asthma. The victim identified as Manjula committed suicide after being depressed over her daughter Manasa's death.
Manasa who attacked by asthma at a younger age was admitted to hospital where she died while undergoing treatment on Wednesday. Unable to take her death, Manjula jumped from her apartment building and succumbed to injuries.
The police registered a case and shifted her body to a hospital for post-mortem. A pall of gloom descended the locality with the death of the mother and daughter.
