The Office (India) Episodes 08-10 Review

If you binge watch the season, very slowly Mukul Chadda and Gopal Dutt seem to be the only best choice that the makers could make for the show. All others seem to be just walking through their parts rather than giving them any specialisation.

Steve Carell made his boss role, meme worthy with his deadpan face and it is his iconic portrayal that sustained the series in USA past five seasons. The original UK version did not have so many seasons but the humour there works too as the actors seem to be perfectly cast.

Indianised version seems to have been writing while playing the DVDs of the original and American adaptation side-by-side to mix best jokes of the both. Had they just took the premise and worked out a plot around it with variety of characters, show might have become a better version of what it is.

The intention of the makers seem to be to introduce an already popular show to Indian audience in a different way than they have become accustomed. While loud humour, loud and over the top action is still prevailing as Drama on TV, the real drama worthy mockumentary got sidelined with rather incompetent actors.
