1 held, gold worth 2.5 lakh recovered

Guntur: Police arrested an auto driver involved in theft case and recovered gold ornaments worth Rs 2.5 lakh from his possession here on Friday. According to police officials, the accused Syed Nagur, an auto driver was residing at Rajiv Gandhi Nagar in Guntur city.

During August first week, Kappa Usharani who travelled to railway station forgot her bag which contains jewelry. When she noticed that she forgot jewelry bag in the auto, she searched for auto driver Nagur.

The auto driver went to his house and not running the auto in the railway station route. She lodged a case in the police station. The police on Friday arrested the accused Nagur at Flower Market Centre and recovered 61.31 grams gold from his possession.
