ALC lecturer gets Best Teacher Award in Vijayawada
Dr Y Hanumantha Rao, Lecturer in Chemistry, Andhra Loyola College (ALC) received the Best Teacher’s award from Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy here on Thursday, on the occasion of Teachers Day celebrations.
Vijayawada: Dr Y Hanumantha Rao, Lecturer in Chemistry, Andhra Loyola College (ALC) received the Best Teacher's award from Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy here on Thursday, on the occasion of Teachers Day celebrations.
Hanumantha Rao was the only teacher who had received the award in Krishna district among the Higher Education Government and Aided colleges category. Later, speaking to media, Hanumantha Rao expressed his delight on receiving the award from the Chief minister. He said that after receiving the award, his responsibility as a teacher was doubled.
Earlier, he had published as many as 65 papers in various international journals. He conducted five national seminars and workshops and trained thousands of students who were well settled doing excellent jobs in different places. He prepared activated carbons by using bio-waste materials and they are being used for de-fluoridation for drinking water.
