Tirupati: Andhra Bank employees held an awareness rally here on Sunday to bring down plastic usage. The rally which began at Andhra Bank main branch in Beri Street in the city culminated in a meeting at Zonal office, 2 km away.
The employees holding a banner, raising slogans `say no to plastic' and `save environment' marched through the streets to create awareness against the use of plastic.
Deputy General Manager Muralikrishna Rao and Assistant General Manager Y Chandra Sekhar Reddy said the bank has taken up `Swacha ta hi Seva' campaign nationwide from September 11 and anti-plastic awareness rally on Sunday as part of the campaign.
