After the YSRCP leaders, Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose and Mopidevi Venkataramana have resigned for the minister posts after electing for Rajya Sabha, the YSRCP president, and chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is reportedly contemplating to expand the Cabinet to fill the vacant berths. There is speculation that the cabinet expansion is likely to take place at the end of this month.

It is interesting to see who would get these plum posts. Since the two resigned leaders belong to the BC group, it is noteworthy, the chief minister would go with BC leaders to fill the vacant cabinet berths. It remains to be seen whether the district wise calculations would be taken into account.

Since Mopidevi belongs to Guntur, Vidudala Rajini and two other leaders from the district are hoping for their turn while Pilli Subhash Chandrabose comes from East Godavari, Ponnada Satish from the district is eyeing the post. Many seniors are on the list if seniority is a big plateau. Among them are names like Kolusu Parthasarathy, Dharmana Prasad Rao, Roja, Uma Reddy, and Jogi Ramesh.
