Nellore: In a horrific incident, a father was killed by his son on Tuesday night in Brahmadevi tribal colony in the Muthukuru Mandal in Nellore. According to the police report, Ellampalli Subrahmanyam (35). However, the couple got separated and goes to work as a labourer. The couple has a son Venkateshwar studying 8th class in a local high school. Subramanyam used to abuse his mother Molakamma, son and wife whenever he drank alcohol.

However, on Tuesday night, Subramanyam started drinking and his son who could not bear it has questioned his father which led to an altercation between the two of them. Unable to control his anger, the son hit the father on the back of the head with an iron rod leaving Subrahmanyam die on the spot.

The incident caused a stir in Brahmadevi and the Krishnapatnam Circle Inspector Sheikh Khazawali and Sub Inspector Anjireddy reached the spot and collected details with the information given by the locals. The police registered the case and investigation is on.
