Andhra Pradesh Lockdown: Andhra Pradesh government is said to be focussing on the measures to be taken to exit lockdown along with taking steps to curtail coronavirus spread. Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy issued key directions to the authorities at a review meeting held at CM camp office on Thursday. As part of the exit plan, CM Jagan has asked officials to set up specific procedures to ensure that the operations of theatres, cinema halls, restaurants, public transport and educational institutions are taken care of. It is suggested to provide a plan on this. CM Jagan has proposed proposals for an exit strategy to be followed in containment clusters.

Officials have brought to the notice of the Chief Minister that there are currently 290 clusters in the state. It was decided that 78 clusters where there are no cases would be exempted from lockdown. These clusters would be able to run normal activities. Containment operations will continue within 500 metres to one km containment area and 500-meter in the buffer zone in 22 clusters where the number of cases high. In the rest of the 103 clusters, 200 meters of containment and 200 metres of the buffer zone will be implemented. The 200-meter containment area would be implemented in 90 dormant clusters. Unless there are new cases, normal operations will be allowed in those clusters after May 31.

The CM has instructed the authorities to consider sending migrant workers to their hometowns. He said that a meal and drinking water facility should be established immediately without causing them to starve. CM Jagan has made it clear to the authorities that the app for market intelligence and procurement should be made available at Raithu Bharosa Centers from the 30th of this month.
