Complete modernisation of canals before monsoon in Nellore: Minister Anil Kumar
Minister for Water Resources Dr P Anil Kumar on Wednesday inspected Khuddus Nagar, Mansur Nagar, Barracks, and Wahabpet areas and observed the condition of agricultural canals
Nellore: Minister for Water Resources Dr P Anil Kumar on Wednesday inspected Khuddus Nagar, Mansur Nagar, Barracks, and Wahabpet areas and observed the condition of agricultural canals. He directed the officials to complete modernisation works of canals for the free flow of water during monsoon.
He along with the local leaders observed the status of canals that were filled with waste plants and other material. He asked them to remove silt and debris from the canals for free flow of water. He said many canals in the city were neglected for some time and asked the officials to prepare plans for clearing them. Further, the Minister visited woman contract employee working in AP Tourism Hotel, who was assaulted by the Deputy Manager at her residence in Kondayapalem Gate area and consoled her. He assured her all sorts of help from the government. He said the police would take appropriate action against the responsible employee.
