Eye sight awareness rally taken out in Vijayawada
An awareness rally was organised to mark World Sight Day by Sandhya Eye Hospital here on Thursday.
Vijayawada: An awareness rally was organised to mark World Sight Day by Sandhya Eye Hospital here on Thursday. The rally banner was inaugurated by Minister Vellampalli Srinivas. Hospital staff, youth and students participated in the rally.
Speaking on the occasion, Sandhya Eye Hospital Managing Director M Bhargava Ram said that they have been organising various awareness programmes for the last 16 years on the World Sight Day.
He said that free eye tests were conducted for 100 students and medicines were distributed free. They also organised awareness programme to protect from blindness on the occasion. He said that they have treated more than 20,000 people suffering eye related problems.
Latest developments in the field of eye care were introduced by Sandhya Eye Hospital, he claimed. He said that they have been serving at Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, Srikakulam utilising the services of experienced doctors.
