Kurnool: Hotel organisers have to strictly follow the norms laid by the central and state government to prevent spread of dreaded corona virus, said DK Balaji, the Commissioner of Kurnool Municipal Corporation. He convened a meeting with the members of hotel associations and organisers at municipal council hall here on Monday.

Addressing on the occasion, the commissioner said hotels in containment zones would not be allowed under any cost. The government has accorded permission to run hotels in non- containment zones. He said the hotel organisers in non containment zones have to strictly follow the norms.

Every consumer has to wear mask when he visits hotels. Hoteliers should encourage more parcel service and digital transactions.

The tables have to be arranged maintaining 6 ft distance and with a sanitiser to each table.

Wearing gloves is compulsory to the hotel staff that serve food to the consumers. Celebrating functions are strictly banned in the hotels. It would be good if disposal plates and glasses are used, said the commissioner.

He also ordered the hotel organisers have to encourage the customers to download Arogya Serhu App.
