Guntur: BJP state president Kanna Lakshminarayana paid rich floral tributes to Colonel Santosh Babu and 19 other soldiers, who were killed in the Chinese army attack at India, China border.
He lit the candles and observed two minutes silence as a mark of respect to the departed souls at a programme held at BJP office here on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Kanna Laskhminarayana condemned Chinese army attack on Indian soldiers and termed the incident as most unfortunate.
He urged the BJP activist to motivate people not to purchase Chinese goods and expressed sympathy to the bereaved families.
Tobacco Board Chairman Yadlapati Raghunath Babu, state legal cell convener Jupudi Ranga Raju, former ministers Ravela Kishore Babu, Dr Sanakkayala Aruna, former corporator Nerella Madhava Rao were among those participated.
