Guntur: BJP state president Kanna Lakshminarayana welcomed the arrest of TDP Deputy Floor Leader in the Legislative Assembly K Atchannaidu.
In a statement, he said "law will take its own course."
He recalled that the TDP government, which claimed transparency in the administration, now condemning the arrest of Atchannaidu and protesting it.
He alleged that the TDP government resorted to irregularities in the Polavaram project works and diverted the funds released for the project.
He alleged that insider trading and many irregularities were committed in the land pooling for the construction of the state capital Amaravati.
He recalled that the BJP leaders fought against the corruption in the TDP government and added that the YSRCP government did not release report submitted by the Special Investigation Team on Vizag land scam. He questioned as to why the YSRCP government was not releasing inquiry reports on scams.
He demanded white paper on sand supply and scarcity.
