In the petition, Jagan Mohan reddy challenged the Special CBI Court's orders of dismissing his plea to allow his advocate to appear on his behalf before the court during a hearing in the alleged disproportionate assets case.
The matter had come up to hearing on Tuesday wherein the high court asked the petitioner to inform the CBI court about the latest petition being in pending. The court has also asked the CBI to file the counter affidavit with full details of the probe in the disproportionate assets case. The court has adjourned the case to next month.
The CBI court in last November has dismissed the exemption petition filed by chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy stating that the reasons specified by the latter were not deemed to be given exemption. Irked with the CBI court's decision, Jagan Mohan Reddy approached the HC for relief and has filed the petition under Section 205 CrPC seeking to dismiss the order of the CBI court.
