Visakhapatnam: When Inspector of Police of Dwaraka Police Station M Rambabu received a WhatsApp message that one of the patients needed financial assistance for the treatment she was undergoing at King George Hospital, he immediately met her mother and provided the monetary support.

Crediting Rs 8,000 to the account through money transfer, Rambabu handed over Rs 2,000 cash to V Kavitha's mother on Wednesday at the hospital.

"A part of my academic life was spent in Koyyuru. When I came to know that a resident of a village in Koyyuru mandal needed support through my friends, I thought I could help her in whatever way possible," Rambabu said.

Accompanied by her mother, Kavitha is undergoing a treatment in KGH for a while. Rambabu said he felt happy to assist the patient in whatever little way possible and indicated that he would like to support the patient further if required.
