International Literacy Day fete concludes at DPS in Vijayawada
The two-day International Literacy Day celebrations 2019 (ILD) concluded at the Delhi Public School on a grand scale.
Vijayawada: The two-day International Literacy Day celebrations 2019 (ILD) concluded at the Delhi Public School on a grand scale. The celebrations included an inter-school literary quiz contest, an inter-school dramatic poetry recitation competition and reading out ILD messages.
As many as seven schools participated in the Inter-School Literary Quiz Contest and the first prize was won by NSM Public School, second prize by St John's English Medium High School and the third prize was won by Atkinson High School, One Town.
In the Inter-School Dramatic Poetry Recitation contest, first prize was won by Sreeja Rashmitha and M Sreehana of Delhi Public School, second prize by V Geethika, KCP Siddhartha Public School and the third prize by Jagannatha Dheeraj, St John's English Medium High School.
The chief guest was Rev Father GM Victor Emmanuel, Principal, Andhra Loyola College. The guest of honour Dr Ayesha Parveen Haroon, School Principal G Mala, Head of the English Department Shanthi Ramanujam, directors K Praveen, P Pavan Chand, students and others participated in the programme.
