Kakinada: District Collector D Muralidhar Reddy directed the Medical and Health department officials to make all necessary arrangements for the storage of Covid-19 vaccine in the district.

He inspected the District Central Drug Store along with Joint Collector Keerthi Chekuri at Ambedkar Bhavan here on Friday. He elicited the information from the medical officials regarding the cold storage room, coolers capacity, electricity and other details in the Central Drug Store.

He said that 40,000 medical and health workers will get the Covid-19 vaccine in the first phase in the district. All the necessary vacuum cold storage, big ILRs and other facilities should be prepared to prevent any problems with the vaccine storage. He directed the Medical and Health department officials to prepare a plan for vaccine storage and distribution in the district.
