Kurnool: District collector G Veera Pandiyan has said that the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam authorities will organise Dhanurmasa Lakshmi Deeparadhana from Friday on a grand note. He said that the district administration would extend all support for making the programme a grand success. He visited the Special Armed Police (SAP) camp grounds and inspected the arrangements where the Dhanurmasa Lakshmi Deeparadhana was planned to be organised, on Thursday. Later he convened a meeting with the officials concerned at the guest house.

Speaking on the occasion, the collector said the Deeparadhana would be organised from 6 pm to 8 pm at SAP camp ground and added over 30,000 women devotees would attend the programme. He directed the district administration to provide all necessary arrangements in this regard. He suggested the Municipal Commissioner D K Balaji to arrange drinking water facilities besides taking care of sanitation.

He further said that the lightning arrangements have been made by the TTD. Superintendent Engineer of APSPDCL was instructed to deploy enough staff at the premises to take care of any emergency. The medical department was ordered to set up primary aid centre besides allocating a separate ward at Government General Hospital.

The collector said the medical staff should keep enough medicines to attend the burn injuries. Even one 108 ambulance has to be kept ready at SAP ground premises to rush the injured to hospital. Assistant commissioner of the endowments department was directed to extend his support to the TTD Superintendent Engineer Jagadeeshwar Reddy, who is organising the programme.

He also told the TTD Superintending Engineer to follow Covid-19 norms as huge number of women are likely to take part in the programme. Wearing of masks was compulsory besides maintaining social distance. The presiding deities would be taken in a procession up to SAP grounds from Minchin Bazaar. The collector ordered the officials concerned to take care of sanitation on the roads.

MLAs Katasani Rambhupal Reddy, Hafeez Khan, DRO Pullaiah, DMHO Dr Rama Giddaiah, GGH Superintendent Dr Narendranath Reddy, Kurnool Urban and Rural Tahsildars also participated in the programme.
