Kurnool: District authorities have installed a novel equipment, Automated Thermal Scanning Gate (ATSG) in the district administration building to check the temperature of the visitors and the staff as well. District Collector G Veera Pandiyan has inaugurated the ATSG machine here on Tuesday.

He said to media men that the equipment will be to check the body temperature of the visitors and officials entering into the premises of Collector's office. Everyone has to enter into the office through this route only so that the body temperature could be checked.

While entering the machine displays the temperature of the visitors and if anyone is found abnormal temperature, 101 Fahrenheit, then the staff deployed at the machine would refuse their entry and the persons would be referred to hospital for further tests to be conducted, stated the Collector.

Covid-19 Material Management Nodal Committee Members including Executive Engineer of APSMIDC Vijay Bhaskar, Deputy Commissioner of Commercial taxes Satya Prakash, General Manager of Industries Somasekhar Reddy had arranged the ATSG machine.

The District Collector had checked his body temperature through the machine.
