Kadapa: The YSRCP secured landslide victory in all 10 Assembly and 2 Lok Sabha seats in the district for which the results were declared on Thursday. The YSRCP functionaries have organised victory rallies and burst crackers in constituencies like Pulivendula, Proddatur and Jammalamadugu. YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has defeated his nearest TDP rival P Satish Reddy.

The TDP was confident of winning at least 3 Assembly seats. They are Jammalamadugu, Rajampet and Mydukur. But their hopes were dashed as YSRCP has emerged victorious in those constituencies too. Senior TDP leader and former minister P Ramasubba Reddy has suffered defeat in the hands of YSRCP nominee Dr M Sudheer Reddy in Jammalamadugu.

Sitting minister and Kadapa TDP Lok Sabha contestant C Adinarayana Reddy lost to YS Avinash Reddy of the YSRCP. The YSRCP candidate S Raghurami Reddy has defeated TTD Chairman and TDP candidate Putta Sudhakar Yadav. In Kamalapuram Assembly segment, P Ravindranath Reddy (YSRCP) has won over P Narasimha Reddy.

R Sivaprasad Reddy (Proddatur), Sheik Amjad Basha (Kadapa), G Srikanth Reddy (Rayachoti), Arthur (Nandikotkur SC reserved), K Srinivasulu (Railway Kodur) and G Venkata Subbaiah (Badvel SC reserved) of the YSRCP have won from their respective constituencies. The TDP suffered defeat as party took time to finalise the candidates, coupled with internal dissidence and lack of leadership.
