Manipal Hospital celebrates Children's Day in Vijayawada
Manipal Hospital, on account of Children’s Day on Thursday organised a unique program ‘Be A Doctor for One Day’ with an aim to educate, motivate and create awareness on health care.
Vijayawada: Manipal Hospital, on account of Children's Day on Thursday organised a unique program 'Be A Doctor for One Day' with an aim to educate, motivate and create awareness on health care.
Various activities were included as part of the programme. The kids enjoyed a hospital tour. Health talks were organised by Dr P Ravi Kumar, Dr B Uday Kiran and Dr Sravanthi, pediatricians.
Children were given aprons and sample consultation programmes were conducted along with distributing my family doctor address (benefit) cards to their parents and teachers. To entertain the kids, some interesting activities were performed by a magician. Certificate of participation was awarded to all children. Gifts were given to the children as a gesture of appreciation for their enthusiastic participation.
Speaking on the occasion, hospital director Dr Sudhakar Kantipudi said it is important that we educate children when they are young as they can inculcate healthy habits in their life early.
