MEGHA Engineering to inaugurate Polavaram Works with a bhoomi puja

A day after the High Court clears the air on the construction of Polavaram irrigation project, the MEGHA company is all set to start its works. In this regard, the officials of MEGHA group are said to be inaugurating the project with Bhoomi Puja. On the other hand, there were protests held by the workers at the venue who blocked the proceedings citing the payment of their dues. However, the police came and resolved the issue.

In the process of reverse tendering of Polavaram project works held in September, MEGHA group has aquired the contracts by quoting for lesser amount than the previous bid quoted in the then government of TDP.

With reverse tendering in Polavaram, the govt has saved as many as 850 crores so far.
