Minister visits flood-hit villages
Minister for Fisheries Mopidevi Venkata Ramana Rao and District Collector I Samuel Anand Kumar on Saturday visited flood-affected island villages in Kolluru and Kollipara mandals of Guntur district with NDRF teams.

They enquired about crop loss and crop damage due to floods to banana gardens, yam gardens, horticulture crops and paddy fields. According to primary reports, flood water inundated agriculture fields and horticulture fields in thousand acres in Tenali revenue division.
Several electrical substations were waterlogged. The officials are visiting flood affected areas on the boats. Horticulture crops are the worst hit in Tenali revenue division. Meanwhile, the district administration has taken steps to revive road connectivity.
