Minister vows to make CB Brown Library in YVU as Centre of Excellence
Describing Yogi Vemana University a sbrainchild of late Chief Minister YS Rajasekara Reddy, Education Minister and also district in-charge Minister A Suresh on Saturday said the government designated Yogi Vamana University (YVU) as a ‘Center for Excellence.’

The Minister along with Deputy Chief Minister Amzadh Basha, government Chief Whip G Srikanth Reddy conducted a review meeting with the officials. He promised that he would take steps for release of Rs 70crore pending funds as early as possible.
He said the government would also take steps for making CB Brown library as Center for Excellence by digitalising 1 lakh books to helpresearch students. Saying that the government is not against establishment of private universities, but they would be permitted only after examining their credibility. Responding to the pleas of YVU VC Acharya Gulam Tariq over completion of buildings, and filling vacancies, the Minister promised to take steps.
