New department with name Skill Development is established in Andhra Pradesh

A new government department has been set up in Andhra Pradesh. The AP government has issued a new administrative branch named after the Department of Skill Development and Training. The department will oversee 75% reservation for local youth in the state-created industries, professional development and training for youth.

The new department will be merged with the former Department of Professional Development, Employment and Innovation. The government has issued a directive for the new branch to include the secretary, additional secretary and other staff.

This created the 37th branch of the state, the Department of Skill Development and Training.
