OU women emerge as South Zone Tennis champs at GITAM
Osmania University women’s team defeated the University of Madras at the South Zone Inter-University Tennis Tournament for Women organised by GITAM Deemed to be University here on Saturday.
Visakhapatnam: Osmania University women's team defeated the University of Madras at the South Zone Inter-University Tennis Tournament for Women organised by GITAM Deemed to be University here on Saturday.
In finals, OU player Sravya outplayed Sai while T Shreya won against Meghana. The University of Madras received runner-up trophy. Andhra University and GITAM Deemed to be University teams bagged 3rd and 4th place.
Four women tennis teams will represent the south zone in All India Inter University Women Tennis Tournament at ITM University, Gwalior during December 2019.
GITAM Deemed to be University Registrar KV G D Balaji participated in the event as the chief guest and distributed medals to winners. GITAM Sports Board secretary K Ramakrishna Rao also participated in the event.
