The government has made arrangements to pay at the pension at the beneficiaries' doorstep. Gopalakrishna Dwivedi, chief secretary of the Panchayat Raj department, said on Twitter that the 11 per cent of pension distribution has been completed to by 9 am. It has been explicitly ordered that the volunteers should not call the beneficiaries at a place to distribute the pensions. Cash is distributed after beneficiaries' fingerprints are obtained through a biometric procedure.
The pension distribution program is going at a brisk pace across the state. As many as 26,20,673 people we're distributed by 9 am. Among all districts, Vizianagaram stands top with the distribution of 32.22 per cent pensions.
