Rajamahendravaram: A mass chanting of Hanuman Chalisa, Viswasanthi Maha Yagnam, was organised by Mysore Datta Peetham pontiff Sri Ganapathi Sachchidananda Swamiji at Pichuka Lanka, near Dowleswaram on Saturday.

The event was conducted amidst chanting of Vedic mantras and special poojas. Rajamahendravaram MP M Bharat, Rajanagaram MLA and Kapu Corporation Chairman Jakkampudi Raja participated in the prgramme.

Speaking to media on the occasion, Ganapathi Sachchidananda Swamy said that the chanting of the holy Hanuman Chalisa would bring peace, good health and development to people.

He said, "We have already

recited Hanuman Chalisa on the banks of rivers Ganga,

Yamuna and Krishna. Now we are doing the same on the banks of River Godavari."

The Swamiji said that they intend to conduct a similar programme in Haridwar and Hrishikesh on the banks of River Ganga. He said that there is immense power in mass recitation.
