Release of TTD funds for Garuda Varadhi demanded in Tirupati
Activists of various youth organisations staged a protest at TTD administrative building on KT Road, here on Saturday to press TTD management to release funds for Garuda Varadhi construction which was proposed under ‘Smart City Project’ to ease traffic congestion in the pilgrim city.
Tirupati: Activists of various youth organisations staged a protest at TTD administrative building on KT Road, here on Saturday to press TTD management to release funds for Garuda Varadhi construction which was proposed under 'Smart City Project' to ease traffic congestion in the pilgrim city.
Members from AP Abhivridhi Porata Samithi (AAPS), Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) and Nava Samaj Federation (NSF) joined in the protest. AAPS state president N Raja Reddy demanded TTD management to release Rs 150 crore for the works on Garuda Varadhi.
He criticised TTD for dillydallying on releasing of its funds. He accused that BJP is trying to stall the flyover. DYFI district president S Jayachandra and NSF district president Neerugatla Nagesh said that the protest will be intensified.
