APSRTC Prakasam regional joint action committee (JAC) demanded that the government fulfil all promises made in the agreement with the state JAC on February 5 and called for agitation by the workers until the government responds.

Ongole: APSRTC Prakasam regional joint action committee (JAC) demanded that the government fulfil all promises made in the agreement with the state JAC on February 5 and called for agitation by the workers until the government responds. The regional JAC organised a Maha Dharna at Ongole RTC depot while the EU regional president Srirama Polaiah presided over it here on Tuesday.

The chief guest and EU state secretary K Nageswara Rao, SWF publicity secretary M Ayyapareddy, EU assistant secretary Ch Swarupa Rani said that at the time of calling off the strike on February 5, the Minister and chairman entered a written agreement with the JAC and promised to implement certain promises along with the clearance of arrears by April 5, but failed in keeping their promise.

They demanded the government immediately pay the 40 per cent arrears, promised to pay by Ugadi. The SWF state secretary GV Sujatha, EU zonal president Vaka Ramesh demanded the government immediately release Rs 650 crore due to the corporation immediately.

Karmika Parishad regional working president NV Seshaiah, SWF regional president BV Rao, SWF regional secretary P Srinivas, EU regional assistant secretary P Kondalarao, regional treasurer ChV Subbarao and regional JAC Convener Bezawada Ravi called the workers to prepare for agitation until their demands are fulfilled by the government. The presidents and secretaries of the traffic and garage departments from all depots in the region and other RTC employees and workers also participated in the programme.
