The Special Investigation Team (SIT) which was set up by the government to investigate land scams during the TDP government, has started its investigation from Friday.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) which was set up by the government to investigate land scams during the TDP government, has started its investigation from Friday. The inquiry team is headed by former IAS officer Dr Vijay Kumar, while former IAS officer Anuradha and retired judge Bhaskara Rao are members. According to a notification issued by SIT on October 26, complaints will be received from the victims at the VUDA Children's Arena Theater in Siripuram from 1st to 7th November. Complaints are received from 10 am to 6 pm. Thirteen teams have been appointed to receive complaints, each comprising Deputy Tahsildar and two helpers.

Victims are required to provide the details in a format prescribed by the SIT. The credentials along with the format should be provided at the table set up by SIT. There are 13 tables set up for each of the 13 zones. The complainant should attach Xerox copies of the land documents along with the application. Originals should also be taken and shown to the authorities. Complaint boxes are being set up specifically for those who do not want to reveal their names.

Complaints will be received online on vizagcollectorate.in website for NRI's. The numbers 1800-42500002 and 0891-2590100 have been set up for victims to complain.
