SP distributes stickers for auto rickshaws in Vizianagaram
The district police have taken a new step to provide more safety and security to women.
Vizianagaram: The district police have taken a new step to provide more safety and security to women.
Superintendent of Police A R Damodar on Wednesday distributed adhesive stickers to auto drivers and instructed them to display those boards in auto rickshaws prominently, which contains the complete information of auto driver, his phone number and others.
If anything happened wrong while travelling by such auto rickshaws or if any auto driver misbehaves with women, they can call the police and inform the details of auto driver. As of now, a special police cell is working on women related issues and curbing crimes.
Damodar also instructed the auto drivers to behave decently with women passengers. ASP Gowthami Shali, DSP A Surya Sravan Kumar and others participated in the programme.
