Vijayawada: As many as 55,445 regular candidates and 57 private candidates attended for the Social Studies Paper I SSC public examination in the district out of the allotted 55,611 regular candidates and 63 private candidates, according to the Krishna District Educational Officer MV Rajya Lakshmi on Friday.

She said that as many as 166 regular candidates and six private candidates were absent for the Social Studies paper I exam with present percentage for 99.7 per cent and 90.48 per cent respectively.

As part of the examination centres' visit, the District Educational Officer visited three examination centres, the DLO visited four examination centres and the flying squad visited 69 examination centres. No cases of malpractice were booked, and the examination went off peacefully at all the examination centres in the district.The DEO further said that examinations were held at all 269 centres peacefully under the supervision of 2,700 invigilators in the district.
