Chittoor: Deputy Chief Minister K Narayana Swamy stated that though the state government has decided to introduce English medium in all government schools, Telugu language will not be neglected.

He said that Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, with the aim to provide higher education to weaker sections, wants to introduce English medium in government schools, but Telugu will be made mandatory in all schools, including private schools. The Deputy Chief Minister participated as chief guest at Chittoor Division Vigilance and Monitoring Committee meet held at ZP Meeting Hall here on Friday. Joint Collector D Markendeyulu presided over the meeting .

Speaking to media men after attending the meet, Narayanaswamy condemned the statements of former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Amaravati. The capital city witnessed no development during the last five years, he alleged. RDO Renuka, DSP K Eswara Reddy and others were present.
