Vijayawada: Sudhir Kumar Jannawar, Chief General Manager (CGM), took charge of Andhra Pradesh Regional Office of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) on June 12.
Sudhir Kumar has 37 years of vast experience in development banking. He worked in various States in different capacities and headed Department of Storage and Marketing at NABARD's Head Office at Mumbai, till recently.
He also had a stint in capacity-building of Bankers. He has grass-root level banking experience before joining NABARD by virtue of his experience in a Gramin Bank.
During his long career, he had geographical exposure across the country by working in the States of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.
Giving fillip to the State Government's efforts to create required Agricultural infrastructure, technology adoption in agriculture, boost rural entrepreneurship, nurturing Farmers' Producers Organisations and increasing the farmers' income are some of his priorities.
