Former Deputy Speaker of the State Legislative Assembly Mandali Buddha Prasad, former Minister Galla Aruna, Commissioner of Police Dwaraka Tirumala Rao and many others attended the event.
Speaking on the occasion, the president of the VMM Dr. B Keerthi said the VMM was continuing many activities with the inspiration from the former MP Chennupati Vidya. She said VMM has been creating awareness on the importance of women development, women protection, laws, fight against the HIV and superstitions in society.
Organiser G Rashmi said the VMM runs on the ideology of Mahatma Gandhi and promotes social service. Commissioner of Police Dwaraka Tirumala Rao said the police department got good inspiration from the former MP Chennupati Vidya to enlighten the women on their rights.
